Hi

My team is embarking on moving from 2010 to 2016. They want to move content on an individual basis. However, we also need to move running workflows and keep these intact.

Whats the process of moving Nintex workflows and lists from SP2010 to a SharePoint 2016?
Need to ensure the workflows/lists remain with the correct status

Thanks

Migration of Nintex Workflows follows the Migration of SharePoint itself. This being said you will have to migrate your farm to a (most likely) single server farm SharePoint 2013 and move all Nintex content to there too.

Secondly you migrate to your final SharePoint 2016 farm, which can be multi server and upgrade Nintex databases too.

In the end you will have a SharePoint 2016 farm will all workflows still running and waiting for their tasks.

I think this is a good start for you: https://help.nintex.com/en-US/nintex2016/current/Default.htm#sp2016/NW-Upgrade/Introduction.htm%3FTocPath%3DGet%2520star…

There is also a note that addresses your scenario: Nintex Workflow 2016 only supports upgrades from Nintex Workflow 2013. To upgrade from Nintex Workflow 2010, you must perform an intermediary upgrade to Nintex Workflow 2013. For more information, see the following Nintex Connect article: Upgrading from Nintex Workflow 2007 to 2013.

Best regards
