Symptoms

After upgrading to 4.6.9, it is no longer possible to copy-and-paste from List Views. It is not possible to even highlight values in List Views.

Diagnoses

This behavior change is by design. The reason for this change was to accommodate the 'Allow Multiple Row Selection' option in the list. The users can now hold CTRL and select one row, or as many rows as they would like by using the mouse to click on a row or multiple rows. The user can also hold CTRL A to select all rows. Previously, before 4.6.9, when the user would hit CTRL A or CTRL clicking on a specific row all of the text on the form (CTRL A) or the text in the cell clicked (CTRL clicking on a row) would be selected.

Resolution

The behavior changed to accommodate the ability to select multiple rows in a list view. In addition, a feature request has been logged to make it still somehow possible to copy/paste list view data.

This is a real problem for us as we are using list view to display all the comments from different reviewers.  The admin will need to be able to copy and summarized these comments but without the abiility to copy and paste, they will have to manually re-type all the comments now.  The work around now for us is to double click on each row and open up a subform to display just the text.  This experience makes our customers believe K2 is back in the 90s.
