Hello,

When I attempt to install K2.Net on a windows XP workstation (With SQL Server 2005 and visual Studio 2005) I get this error:

the query use non-ANSI outer join operators ("*=" or "=*").
to run this query without modification, please set the compatibility level for current database to 80 or lower, use stored procedure sp_dbcmptlevel (...)

I could not find the sp_dbcmptlevel stored procedure,
could any one help to solve this error?

thanks

Hi there,

Which version of K2.net are you trying to install? The only version of K2.net that can run on SQL 2005 is K2.net SP3 and later.

Another point to consider is that running K2.net Server from a Windows XP machine is not supported at all. I tried installing K2.net Sp2a Server on Windows XP SP2 a while ago but it would not run at all. The service failed to start with some security error in the Event Viewer.

It used to be possible to run K2.net Server on XP SP1 but after the release of SP2 it failed.

Hope this helps.

thanks,

after many search, I have this error corrected.

But as you say, the service could not start on a windows XP.

Anyone have installed K2 2003 on a windows XP?

Just after the setup, the service worked fine, but after a reboot : no way.
