Literal Data Label in List View Column

Badge +1

Hi ,

I am following the instructions on this page http://help.k2.com/kb001404 . However I noticed that the contents of the data label added to the list does not display when  the data label is marked as literal. The contents displays fine in the designer and I can see the image. However the contents does not show when I click the Design Time URL or  Runtime URL.

I can see the html snippet when I unmark the data label as literal. I also noticed that adding a column with a Picture component also does not show the picture selected in the Design Time URL or  Runtime URL but it shows fine in the designer . Does anyone have any ideas on how I can display in image for each  listview row when using the Design Time URL or  Runtime URL?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Tham,

Would you please check in the Data label properties(context browser) that the Visible and Enabled check boxes are checked? Secondly to display a Picture use the Picture control. Please see the link below which discusses this in more detail.

Hi Tham

I have reproduced the scenario decribed in the document that you used "help.k2.com/kb001404".

My reproduction seems to be working fine, All columns are displayed as suppose to including the image.

I assume that the issue with yours could be with the way you configured the data label, or it might be something different.

I have attached my packaged project, its a single SmartObject with a  single View. Please deploy this package to your enviroment using the latest package and deployment () as a test to see if everything is displayed as suppose to in your designer.

If everything is displaying as suppose to then the issue was with the configuration, otherwise if everything does not display as suppose to then we will take it from there.

(Please note if the image does not display after you have deployed the package, you have to open designer and navigate to "All ItemsC8-Literal Data Label in List View ColumnOpen editable List view in Edit modeClick on Severity Indicator and select Expressions in the properties windowOpen the Severity Image Template and change the red domain name with your domain name
