Hi,

Does anybody know if how workflows gets unpublished automatically on a SharePoint List ?

I have run into a problem where 4 of my workflows which are associated with a SharePoint list was in Unpublished state.

All the workflow instances got removed in a Production site.

I could not find a clue of how it happens.

Can somebody throw some light on this.

Are there any options apart from manually removing them from Workflow settings page ?

Thanks,

An additional note,

All the workflows that are in unpublished state are having Major Versions. They are not saved manually.

They got unpublished and still having the same versions while they were published.

Below is the answer I got from Support for this issue. I will have to upgrade the nintex version.

Unfortunately this was a known issue in older builds of Workflow. This would often be due to a bug where if the user that had published the workflow (or any previous version of the workflow) no longer existed in the environment it would cause the workflow to go into an 'unpublished' state. There was also previously a bug, where if the SharePoint environment encountered a timeout when trying to connect to the SQL server it could result in workflows unpublished themselves. These issues were resolved in build 3.1.4.0. If you would like to update to the latest build of Nintex Workflow, you can find the installer here: https://community.nintex.com/community/installation/product-downloads and our documentation on the update process here: https://community.nintex.com/docs/DOC-1151.
