Can Lazy Approval be used if SP 2013 is using the Basic option for Incoming Email or is the Advanced option required?

Hi Dean!

You should be able to use both Basic and Advanced for Lazy Approval. Lazy approval will connect to the existing SMTP service and SharePoint processes the incoming mail accordingly by response and token.

A benefit of using the advanced option would allow for a bit more customization.

Microsoft document on configuring incoming mail (for 2013) :

Let us know if there is anything else!
