Manage Allowed Activities using AD Group

Hi is it possible to use an AD Group to allow access to an activity via Managed Allowed Activities in Central Admin

The search brings back individual users but not AD groups

Have you tried adding the AD group to a matching Sharepoint Group? I think the dialogue box is refering to Sharepoint groups.

We are in Central Admin so I am not sure we can do that
