After moving serveral sites to t new App Pool i can not get to the webdesigner two of those sites.  I can get to the web-designer on all the other sites that were moved in the same process and had the web-designer enabled before the move.  The only thin I have noticed that is different about those sites is they are sub sites.  under a site colleciotn.

Site colleciotn http://moss/sites/siteA - Webdesigner works here.

Web designer does not work at either of these sites: http://moss/sites/siteA/siteAB or http://moss/sites/siteA/siteAB/SiteABC  Site AB being a subsite of A and SiteABC being a subsite OF AB.

 I have deactivated and reactivated the features and all K2 related features at all thre sites and the site colleciton level then reactived with no change to the issue.

I get "An unexpected error has occured" whe I try to open the webdesigner from either site.

I was just doing some more troubleshooting and discovered it is any subsite under site A.   I activated the web-designer on some sites that did not have it activated before and know I get the same error on those sites as well.

What version of BlackPoint are you running? There has been some issues with access to the web designer before from sub-sites. Please intall the latest patch for BlackPoint KB000470. It includes some fixes for accessing web designer from sub-sites. You can download the patch from the cutomer portal: http://portal.k2.com/downloads/k2blackpoint/Default.aspx

let me know if this works

Since my original I have uninstalled and re-installed Blackpoint to hopefully fix the problem.  I ran the update  mentioned above and I still can not get the webdesigner to work on any of the subsites under site A mentioned above.  i have even gone to other sites and created several subsites and eveything work fine there.   Any ideas of what could be the cause....

BTW this just happens to be the Site that was the driving force behind getting Blackpoint.

You can try deactivating and reactivating or even removing the webdesigner. You can enable logging on the k2 server and see if you find errors in the k2 server log when accessing the webdesigner from the mentioned sites.

Please enable full logging, the following link provides a basic how to enable logging:

http://www.k2underground.com/blogs/johnny/archive/2007/10/06/how-do-i-use-logging-in-k2-blackpearl.aspx

In the HostServerLogging.config file, change the following:

key="IncludeStackTrace" value="False" /> change False to True

Recreate the issue and attach the log to the ticket please.

Browse trought the logs adn post any error you receive.

Is the Error displayed when launching Web Designer from a list within a team subsite?

Or alternatively log a ticket with K2 Support to investigate.

I tried to enable logging.... I am using blackpoint and do no have the HostServerLogging.config  file you mentioned.  Since the last post Ihave noticed something else.... Before i thought that the issues was only on certain sites, I was wrong it seems to be more on any forms library on any site, even new ones.  The web designer does open on just plain document libraries.

Also I get an access denied error now.

That’s strange...the file should be there. It in the [BlackPoint installation folder]hostserverin

Edit it with a text editor and change:

    (<add key="IncludeStackTrace" value="False" /> ---- Replace the False with True.)

<LogLocationSettings>

        (<LogLocation Name="ConsoleExtension" Active="True" LogLevel="All" />)

        (<LogLocation Name="FileExtension" Active="True" LogLevel="All" />)

Are you sure the user has the correct permissions on the file and folder of the form used in the library? Is it a content type?

Are you accessing is as a user that is a site admin and farm admin?
