Re: How to create "Nintex Forms" database from powershell?

hi Jacek Przeździecki,

Can you clarify on this? Any default powershell commands can be used to create a database in SQL. Unless specific case exists, this would be simpler to create in SQL management studio then connecting with Nintex Forms in Central Admin.Here is Nintex insall instructions:Installing Nintex Workflow 2013 and Nintex Forms 2013

Jacek,

You can do this by using the following Nintex powershell command:

Create-NFDatabase

Parameters:

-DataBaseName {Mandatory}

-DataBaseServer {Mandatory}

-UseWindowsAuthentication

-DatabaseUserName

-DatabasePassword
-FailoverDatabaseServer

Example:

Create-NFDatabase -DataBaseName NintexFormsDB01 -DataBaseServer SQL01

Re: How to create "Nintex Forms" database from powershell?

Where does this powershell command come from?

If simply install Nintex Forms, will this be available from a powershell window? Do I need to load a particular snapin?

Thanks.

Flynn,

This command is added when you install Nintex Forms, yes.

Be sure to run the powershell command on a server that Nintex Forms has been deployed to.

Re: How to create "Nintex Forms" database from powershell?

Ah yes thanks Andrew.

I subsequently discovered that the main Nintex Forms core wsp contains a powershell commandlet binding xml, so I guessed that deploying the wsps would include the dll where the commands are stored.

If you then run a SharePoint management console, they're available.
