Item reference does not seem to be created

The first project I made with K2 was an onboarding application. It was made with Smartboxes.  Now that I know the prodcut better I am working to build it again using SQL smart objects and more forms instead of views.  

 

Right out of the gate with the new project on the very first workflow task information that should be in an item refernce is not.

 

I've compared everything to what I did in the Smartbox version of the application and it all looks fine.  

 

Any ideas on why the item refernce would not be working?

Is this a designer wokrflow or one in K2 Studio.

 

If it is K2 studio you need to go to the start, double click and run the smartforms wizard and put a check in "Create Item Reference". If you dod not have the wizard when you double click start then you need to drag a Smartforms Integration process wizard to the start.

 

In Desinger it is similar but you will click on the start and in the wizard on the first screen click the down arrow to the left of the "Form:" and make sure there is a check mark in "Create item Reference"

 

Fom this point you should see it in the context.
