I'm installing BlackPearl 4.6.2 with the following configuration:

Domain Controller - Windows Server 2012 x64, with SQL Server 2012.

K2 Server - Server 2008R2, CRM 2011 and SharePoint 2010 also installed here.

K2 Server is failing to install, and then on the analyser there are many errors, the most severe of which seems to be exceptions with invalid parameter sddl form type of messages.

Before I go writing pages of error messages and leading you all on a wild goose chase...should this be a valid configuration? I know 2012 isn't supported, but as it's the DC, not the host of K2, I thought I might have a good chance of pulling off a working installation.

Cheers

Chris.

Hi Chris,

I would bet the problem is that SQL is on the 2012 DC. I suspect if SQL was on another 2008 machine, or the same one as the K2 2008 machine, it would work.

I don't think K2 cares about the DC as long as the 2008 machine can talk to it; making the connection to the 2012 machine to provision DBs, however, is almost certainly the problem.

Just my .02 :)
