Hide controls based on field choice

I would like to hide the choice control "Triage Status" based on a choice selected in another choice control "Intake Status". I want the control Triage status to be disabled when the control Intake Status is empty or equal to "In Progress". The choice control Triage Status should not be disabled when Intake Status is equal to "Pending Approval" or "Intake Complete".

I have the below formula, but when I select "Pending Approval" or "Intake Complete" in the Intake Phase choice field, the Triage Status choice control is still disabled. Please advise how I can disable / enable this control.

not(or(equals(IntakeStatus, "Pending Approval"), equals(IntakeStatus, "Intake Complete")))

Re: Hide controls based on field choice

Hi,

The rule on Triage Status control would look like:

or(isNullOrEmpty(Intake Status),equals(Intake Status,"In Progress"))

See attached sample classic form example.

Re: Hide controls based on field choice

The formula did not work for me. The Triage Status field is enabled when I add a new item.

Can someone help find a way to disable the Triage Status field until Intake Status is "Pending Approval" or "Intake Complete".

Did you look at my form that I added to my post. You will find that it does what you want and then you can transfer that example to your form.

Hi,
Extract the zip.

Click import from the the ribbon.
Select the file that was extracted.

Re: Hide controls based on field choice

I am not able to do that, can only get into Nintex through Sharepoint.

I found a work around - I have the "Triage Status" choice field disabled when the "Intake Phase Closure Date" is null. This should work for now. If you would be able to share an example in another format for making the control dependent on the "Intake Phase Status" choice field, that would be really helpful.

Extract the file to your computer.
In SharePoint navigate to a list.
From the ribbon click the Nintex forms Icon.
This will open the designer.
Click Import from the ribbon.
Select the file from the file search dialog box.
Click ok.
My form will now be in your SharePoint environment.
