I have used the SharePoint Workflow Integration Client event.

The workflow is kicked off by new content being added to a library.

Users who are admins are able to add new content, start workflow and participate fine.

Users who are not admins are able to add new content, start workflow, but it will not let them participate.

The user is in a group which has Start,  View and View Participate rights to the process in K2.

The task is assigned to them, they can open the K2SPTask page for it, enter in details, select the action, but when they click Submit, they get a SharePoint error page up.

Anyone understand why?

From the look of the error message it looks more like a SharePoint permissions issue.  Can you check the event log and ULS log to see what resouces they are getting access denied to?

My suspicion is a SP problem, I've dredged thru the K2 logs and nothing catches my eye. I shall check the SP event log again. BTW - what is the ULS log?

Ok, I found this error in the log.

Unknown SPRequest error occurred. More information: 0x80070005

This happens inside the same Correlation ID as the POST of the K2SPTask.aspx

Immediately following this group comes the loading of the AccessDenied page, so looks promising.

Could this be because the user does not have rights to Delete Items on the Library?
