Having a blank 5 minutes.
Currently have a collection of usernames which are then split into individual names.
How could I filter my list/collection based on whether a user is based in a certain Active directory group?
Thanks
Andrew
Solved! Go to Solution.
you will need to use query LDAP action.
while you have user names in collection make a for each loop to iterate over it, and for each user within collection check its group membership with mention action.
you can find some examples here
Query user profile doesn't return anything for the "MemberOf" properties
Thanks, that's what I was thinking.
Just got to 'hack' an existing workflow.
Come on brain...let's do this.
p.s. I can't access the second link, says I'm unauthorised. Sure I can find another alternative.
‌, sorry for the hassle accessing the second link. That discussion isn't locked or in a private space. Not sure why you can't get to it. Potential reasons: Our community platform isn't playing nice with your browser (it prefers Chrome and Firefox, and doesn't like IE much). Or maybe you weren't logged in at the moment, though that shouldn't really be the cause because the conversation isn't locked town. I'll look at your account and see if there's anything weird going on, but at least ‌ has posted the content for you to see.

Thanks for replying. I've tried both under IE11 and Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 . Still seeing this little beauty:
Not to worry
Wow. Well, I must confess, I have no answer for you, and if I have a bug I'd like to chase it down as you're probably not the only person encountering this. If you search in the community for the title can you find it? "LDAP Query: Is User a member of a Group?"
There's the link again if you're interested in trying. I'll file a case with Jive about it.
Hi,
If I search for the post by title, it doesn't return the post for me:
Thanks
