I’ve saved a task list for standard onboarding tasks. When the manager adds a new person to our staff list, I have a workflow that creates a new onboarding task list from the template for that employee. I would like to then have a step in the workflow that populates the new list with the new employee listed as the trainee and with the person the manager selects as a trainer listed as the trainer (both are fields in the template list). However, the task list doesn’t exist yet. Is there a way to do this?
@mtrease What version of SharePoint are you running? If it is SharePoint 2013 you will most likely need to use the Web Service(https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-for-SharePoint/Create-item-in-list-using-variable-for-list-UR...). Alternatively if you are using 2016 you can use the SharePoint create item action(https://help.nintex.com/en-US/nintex2016/#sp2016/Workflow/ActionsConnectors/SharePointcreatelistitem...).
