Dispatcher should be able to pick any person to become assignee in next step

I need a workflow with only 2 steps (tasks).

The assignee of the first step = Dispatcher.

The assignee of the second step = the expert that will be assigned by the Dispatcher in the first step.

I guess we should use a (workflow) variable for the assignee field in the second step.

So in the first step the dispatcher should be able to choose the variable by picking any person.

This cannot be a difficult problem, but – as a Nintex newbe - I do not know how to start.

Yes, you are on the right path.

• Add a workflow variable of type "Person or Group"
• Add a FlexiTask for the first approval. In the Flexi Task "Configure Action" dialog, click on "Edit Task form" > "Edit with Nintex Forms".
• In the edit form dialog, on the left, under "Workflow Variables", you find the variable you created. Add it to the form. This will allow the first approver to enter a person for the second approval.
• Add a second Flexi Task for the second approval. In the "Configure Action" dialog, click on the "Browse" Icon on the right of the "Assignees" field. Choose the workflow variable you created, which you will find when you expand the "Lookup" section and scroll down.

This is roughly what you will need to do. Of coure there is some more work. Maybe you also want to go through some training on the nintex training site (https://learn.nintex.com).
