Symptoms

Issue: In a list view from a K2 Smartform displayed on a SharePoint site page, the Quick Search dropdown menu was displaying the list view columns in a random order. Customer wanted to know if the items in the Quick Search dropdown menu could be re-ordered in a more logical manner.

Diagnoses

Diagnosis: K2 Smartforms Quick Search drop down menu normally lists the columns titles from left to right. The Quick Search dropdown menu, however, lists the column titles in a random order once there are more than 10 columns in a List View. This was reproduced in tech support in a VM in both the customer’s 4.6.9 environment and in a 4.6.11 environment with identical results. This occurs in both a Smartforms runtime environment and on a SharePoint site page. As more columns get added the order becomes even more mixed. The customer's list view had more than 10 columns.

Resolution

Resolution: Labs confirmed that this issue is a new bug. It will be fixed in an upgrade sometime in the future.
