I wonder if having 3 servers for Blakpearl

BlackPearl_Dev

BlackPearl_Test

BlackPearl_Prod

can connect to 2 Different Sharepoint Farms

Sharepoint_DEV

         http://dev.some_domain.com

Sharepoint_PROD

         https://prod.some_domain.com

The reason I'm asking is because, Currently do not have a TEST Farm, and I was wondering if would be possible to just create another web application within the Sharepoint_DEV server and run the installation as the BlackPearl_Test_Installer_Account and use it against this new web application.

I guess the question could arrive the other way around is it possible to have one BlackPearl Server and connect to multiple Sharepoint Farms creating multiple SmartObjects from different sources... I think this makes perfect sense.

THX Dino.

Is this Sharepoint 2010 or Sharepoint 2013?

If Sharepoint 2013 I believe this is possible, as the K2 app is registered per site.  But an additional step needs to be taken:

If Sharepoint 2010, I believe you will need a seperate Sharepoint farm per K2 server.

tin, for SharePoint 2010 you can use the same SharePoint farm for multiple K2 servers (I did this at a site where there was Dev/Test/Prod K2 regions and only UAT/Prod SharePoint). Because you create the SharePoint service instance from the K2 server (e.g. using SmartObject tester) and configure it using the SharePoint site URL, as long as the K2 service account has correct permissions in SharePoint you can point to any SharePoint site you want.
