Symptoms

K2 upgrade to 4.6.11 on SSRS server

Diagnoses

When trying to upgrade from 4.6.7 to 4.6.11 on the SSRS server you get the following error at the SQL Reporting Services Configuration screen:
SQL Reporting Service Site "Connection Failed: the request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized. If you continue the Out of the Box Reports will not be configured correctly."

Click Ok to message and get a Critical Error message:

An error occurred during the installation process. Please contact K2 support.

The following exception occurred:
Unknown error (0x80005000)
StackTrace: at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind(Boolean throwIfFail)
at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind()
at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.get_IsContainer()

Resolution

It could be quite possible that their are two bindings available when upgrading K2 Blackpearl which defaults to the default URL from the old server and producing 401 when selected.

Selecting the correct server binding will allow you to continue with the error.

Also as this is a new server you may need to set new SPN's for this please have a look at the following document on how to this.
