Attributes on Security Groups
Is it possible to use attrbiutes that are attached to AD Secuirty Groups within work flows? I have seen some posts referencing user attributes but nothing about attributes on groups.

Yes it's "possible" but not straightforward.
You would have to create a web service that performs whatever task required.
