At my company we recently got a consultancy firm to review our current SharePoint instance. One of the issues they raised was the fact that we have trained superusers in the Business on creating forms, and when they are comfortable basic workflows.
The consultant suggested that we shouldn’t being doing for various reasons governance, too complex, etc.
Does anyone else allow users this sort of access? Or should we be reining back in?
Isn't allowing power users the ability to create things in SharePoint one of the nice things about the product? I personally think you are fine if you have permissions in place that allow these users to create forms and workflows. Takes time away from other programming efforts when IT needs to create these things for the end user when they can do it them self.
