I have K2.Net 2003: Service Pack 1 (3.4138.1.0) installed on my Windows 2003 Server machine. Whenever I tries to uninstall the software, it gives me this error:

"Error 1324. The path Microsoft Visual Studio .NET contains an invalid character."

and the (un)installation will complete unsuccessfully.

The same error goes when I tries to install K2.Net 2003: Service Pack 2a w/o uninstalling the previous version.

Anyone can advice?

Hi G,

Are you using the Uninstall option located in the Add/Remove programs from Control Panel? Please try the following to correct the issue.

Run the Setup.exe of K2.net 2003 Service Pack 1 (3.4138.1.0), if it gives you the option of Remove/Repair select the Remove option, once this is done, run the Setup.exe of K2.net 2003 Service Pack 2a (3.5140.1.0) to perform the SP2a installation, refer to the Installation documentation for more information on installing K2.net or performing upgrades.

OR

Run the Setup.exe of K2.net 2003 Service Pack 1 (3.4138.1.0), if it gives you the option of Remove/Repair select the Repair option, once this is done, run the Setup.exe of K2.net 2003 Service Pack 2a (3.5140.1.0) to perform the SP2a upgrade, refer to the Installation documentation for more information on installing K2.net or performing upgrades.

I suspect that you will have to do a repair because of the uninstall failure.

Regards,
R
