How do you add fields to a PDF Template?  It says its like the Excel format in the Field Tagger.  But what or where do you name the field in the PDF.  

 

If for word it is example: a Case #, api is Case_CaseNumber so for word its <<Case_CaseNumber>>

 

For a PDF it suggests excel so no arrows just Case_CaseNumber .  

 

So that didn't create a merge.  So where do I name the field in the PDF?

In a PDF editor, like Acrobat, you would use the prepare form button which allows you to change the name of the field.  Just adding text to the field will not complete the merge.
