Multiple emails sent when Status field is updated

Hi Everyone,
I have a list with 4 options in the Status field. The workflow is supposed to send one email to the appropriate person when the Status field is changed, but it's sending 3.
Example, the Status field is changed to SME, 1 email should be sent, but it sends 3.
Any ideas how to fix?

How are your rules wired up to the list to send the emails?

Can you perhaps share a screenshot of how your rules are configured? From what i gathered you have a "when a control changes" and a "Send an email" rule configured?
