Hi all
Here is an issue with setting variables values:
1. Create a new variable of data type "People and Groups"
2. Allow multiple values
3.There is a drop down to select SharePoint group names. If the variable allows multiple values, then the drop down should allow multiple selections. But you can select only one value even though the variable can allow multiple values.
Does anyone know how multiple values variables work? TIA

I believe you are setting a workflow variable in the initiation of the workflow is that correct? If so, the screen you posted is determining what the user can select (users only or users and groups) and then if the variable can store multiple values.
The dropdown that you are referring to determines what GROUPS the initiating user can select FROM.
If you publish your workflow and go to start it, you should see something like this:
Here is where you can select multiple users and/or groups:
