Adding Web Reference - '{ Expected'?

I've written my own web service to handle saving some specific data. This web service works when I reference it in a non-K2 project or even in InfoPath, however, when I try to add a 'Web Reference' to this service via the K2 'Add Reference' wizard, I can't get by the error '{ Expected' when I try to select the service. In the Web Reference wizard, I enter my web service URL and click 'Discover', which then tells me that the service was discovered and I should click 'Select'. When I click 'Select' is where I get the '{ Expected' error. Anybody have a clue what I am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!

we use also own WebServices within K2 - but we use it as a Smart Object Service. On K2 blackmarket there is a project Dynamic Web Service Smart Object Service http://k2underground.com/k2/ProjectHome.aspx?ProjectID=45
After installing this its very easy to use the web service in K2.
I put a short lab to this as an attachment. Hopefully it helps.
