I have been trying to create a new File in a library using "Create item" . I am specifying the content type while configuring the action. However, everytime it creates a new blank word file.
Please suggest if it is possible to achieve the same in SharePoint online using Nintex Workflow.

If you're creating the new file and its coming up blank, that is essentially doing the correct thing because its generating the new file there.
Are you wanting a specific document created? Have you enabled, allow custom content types on the library itself?
