Hi,

Following the guide to configuring Kerberos on KB000123. It says:

"The user account, under
which the K2.net 2003 Server Service is run, also needs to be
configured with a Service Principal Name (SPN). This step can however
be performed automatically from the K2.net 2003 Service Manager using
the "K2.net Service Account" tab of the Server's "Properties".

Add the K2.net Server to Active Directory by clicking on the "Add" button."

When I open that tab in Service Manager, "This account" is already selected with the user name of my service account already entered. If I click "Add", it say:

"Please enter a login name"

I also tried entering the user's password, but I get the same message.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

Richard

I believe the login name you are prompted for refers to a domain admin account to create the SPN, not the K2 service account.

Hi

Thanks for your help. I managed to figure it out.

The database connection settings were set to "SQL Authentication", but had no user/passwords specified. However the actual server configuration ( as seen in the k2server.config) was for Windows Integrated.

I changed it to Windows Integrated in service manager also and was able to add the SPN.

Cheers! Richard
