Symptoms
The K2 documentation states that updating design templates will overwrite customizations applied to default wizards with the exception of the Default Server Event. I'd like to clarify - we are considering using Default Event Escalations, which by definition require writing custom code. Is this a "safe" area to add custom code, like the Default Server Events or would escalation code be overwritten if we upgrade and update design templates?
Diagnoses
Currently, updating the designer templates WILL wipe both Activity and Event Escalations custom codes as such, please back up your code before doing so.
Resolution
There is an existing bug/behavior change request regarding this issue. Unfortunately, a timeline currently does not exist for when this will be implemented. Please use the workaround of backing up your codes before performing an Update Design Template.
