Symptoms
Cannot complete creating package due to validation errors in the workflow.
Diagnoses
When creating a PandD package there was numerous validation issues on the workflow that is being added to the package. This normally happens when they had a workflow with User Tasks set up and then modify/delete the Rules in the Views/Forms after the fact.
At this point the workflow is not in sync with the modified/deleted rules on the Views/Forms.
The only way to get past it is to re-run the wizards to get the workflow in sync with the Rules again.
Resolution
Run through all the wizards that PandD states has reference issues to update the Workflow XML. Recreated the package and then used a SP list template to create the exact template in production, we then deployed the new package with no issues.
