In your textbox settings, category Advanced, you'll find a "Max length" option : just set it to 30.

Hi Badal,

I think you are using connected single line textbox so the setting must be made in SharePoint columns.

Correct !

You cannot set max lentgh in Forms if your field is connected to a sharepoint column : you have to set it within SharePoint list settings.

Re: How to Set limit upto 30 Charcters for the Text Box

Is there not a way to do this within a validation rule?

I'm trying to set a minimum character length of 3 and a maximum character length of 17.

Something like this?

length(>3) || length(<17)

And if the field entry doesn't meet that then display a message: "This field should be 3-17 characters long"

Validation Rule: Check to see if text length is greater than 255 characters: (or whatever length you need)

greaterThan(length({Self}),255)

If longer, provide error message.
