Give Item Permissions to anyone with a Link

I am using a workflow to set permissions for each item in a list. The workflows sends an email to users with permissions.  However those users are forwarding the email to other's who do not have permissions.  We are OK with anyone who has the link to have access to the item.  Is there anyway to grant permissions to anyone with a link?

Hi,

Unfortunately SharePoint permissions do not allow for this scenario. Permissions to an item are by user or group only.
A workaround may be that that the person who wants to forward the email runs a workflow on the item to change the permissions. They just insert the user they want to have permissions and then forward the email. You could put a note in the email to instruct users who are forwarding the email to run the workflow first and nominate the user.
