I am trying to create a tab like feature using dropdownlist. When I change the option on dropdown, I show/hide groups. This feature is working on new and edit form but the dropdown choice is disabled on display form. I tried using read only based on form Mode, but it does not help. I did not see an option to set the control in edit mode even for display form in new responsive designer. The same thing works on responsive designer though.

You can't set a control mode in the new responsive forms (force the control to be in read, edit or new). In display, all your control will automaticaly be in readOnly.
If you need to use tab, I recommande to configure "Pages" in your forms. It's realy easy to use and configure

I also needed a view where they can see all the data in single page. I decided to go with responsive form for now.
