I am using "Office 365 Create action" to create sites based on custom templates. It works great. But i have one issue to fix.
In my scenario, its Parent Child.
First i create Parent Site
Then i create Child Site
Works fine if both don't exist. But if parent exists the workflow gets suspended and does not move forward to create the Child Site.
I don't find any option to validate if parent site is already or let WF move if the first step gives an exception.
Any help ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Could you use the Site Creation Successful output and store it in a boolean variable. Then use a condition to check if there was a "Yes", if so, create the child site, if no, send an email as an exception.
Thanks Andrew, Unfortunately that did not help me. The Workflow threw error on parent site creation itself. So there was no way i can capture the output in a variable as the workflow by default moves in suspended state.
I do have a variable defined to get the output from the action.
This intended functionality works with SPD workflow.
May be I will separate the logic of Parent and Child site as of now to overcome this issue.
