Serial number issue

When i assign a task to set of users i send them a mail containing a link to their worklist item. but the users receive as many mails as the number of people in the role and certain links does not contain the correct link(ie the serial number for their worklist item).. I mean to say they receive their link as well the others persons' link. Hw do i resolve this?

How have you set your Activity Destination Rule?  Also how are you sending the email... via a specific Email Event or via a task notification from within a Client Event?  If the email event wizard, how do you have the 'Recipient" and To fields set?

i have a xml field in the infopath which has the to email addresses in the a@xyz.com;b@xyz.com format. So i point the to field in my mail to this particular field in infopath
