I have a workflow that is used for time sheet correction. In a couple of places, the form can be sent back for clarification/correction if the information is not filled out correctly. The group that responds to the requests for corrections want to capture how many times in each case a form need to be corrected or clarified during the entire process. What approach would be best to capture this in a Sharepoint list?

Thanks

Ideas:

  • You could create a custom report using data from the system SmartObjects and display in a report viewer web part
  • You could store the data in a SQL table and use BCS to display the data as an external content type
  • You could keep a counter in the process, then update a custom list with the count

There are a lot of possibilites.
