I have downloaded and installed the eval license of blackpoint into my MOSS 2007 test server. The existing workflows that were designed in SharePoint Designer no longer function - they error out when trying to start.
Is it possible to have blackpoint co-exist with SharePoint Designer workflows? I estimate at least 4 weeks of work to re-design and replace the existing workflows and in the meantime, they need to continue to execute.

That does sound odd. Technically speaking K2 taps into the default workflow mechanism that SharePoint uses. So existing SharePoint workflows should not be impacted. I have seen a number of customers who use both on the same environment. If you are pretty sure the K2 installation issue caused the issue, I would suggest submitting a ticket or contacting your local K2 representative on this matter.
