Capturing SQL Execute a query error still not solved

So this morning about 100 of my workflow instances errored due to a 5min network error trying to connect to our SQL server. (The firewall needed an emergency reboot / reconfig)

and we have a uservoice for the idea:

We just need a way to capture a transient error like a timeout, tell the workflow to wait ten mins and retry, rather than the entire workflow instance failing.

Could we take another look at getting some urgent progress on this action please?
