Issue

When using the PDF Converter SmartObject to convert your SmartForm to a PDF, the PDF generated is intermittently rendered incorrectly and shows a narrow column.

Symptoms

  1. The issue can occur when the PDF is generated from your workflow, or manually through the SmartObject Service Tester. No consistent pattern is observed.
  2. It appears to happen when mulitple PDF conversions are being processed at the same time.
  3. Conversion Delay in the Create PDF from URL method is set to 30 seconds.
  4. The SmartForm is using the default Platinum theme.

Troubleshooting Steps

If you have tried tweaking the UseWebKit and serializeResources keys and the issue persists, kindly log a ticket with K2 Technical Support to request the K2 4.7 August Cumulative Update Fix Pack 3.

 

Once applied, you will notice a new key warmUpPDFCall added in the PDF Converter service. Kindly update the service instance, and set this key to True.
