Issue
Unable to start the K2 service and this error appears:"2001 Error Starting Host Server: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Symptoms
The error below keeps getting logged before and after the Object Reference error message::The server [SERVER]:0 does not exist. Please reconfigure or contact support."
The server name specified is correct but it points to port 0 instead of 5555.
Troubleshooting Steps
To resolve this issue, please check in the K2HostServer.exe.config if the keys below are missing under <appSettings>:
<add key="addomain" value="[K2 SERVER]" />
<add key="port" value="5555" />
<add key="port" value="5555" />
Please restart the K2 service once any changes are done.
