Use SharePoint field descriptions in K2 Form

Hi.

 

As mentioned in the title, I have a K2 form with multiple fields comming from SharePoint and I would like to show the descriptions of those fields, similarly to how SharePoint does it, below the field itself.

 

SharePoint fields have a description property and already is storing all the field descriptions so I would prefer to reuse those rather than duplicate them as hardcoded text in the form.

 

Is this supported ootb by K2 Forms? Perhaps there is a control or method I have overlooked.

Hi,


Can you please explain the “field description” you are referring too? Do you mean the column description of, for example, a SharePoint list?


Most SharePoint list/Lib properties are exposed via the SmartObject created for the List/Lib

a typical sharepoint form is composed by fields (or columns)

 

each field has a description that appears right below the imput control

 

what we are looking for is to have the same with k2 forms, in the most automated way possible, so we can reuse field descriptions and display them below the control so users can see the descriptions while they are fillin-in, just as they do in ootb sharepoint
