Just curious why this nice feature not available on smartforms designer, so that i must switch to smartobject service tester tool to create smartobject directly from table/views/store procedure.

A smartobject is a tool mainly used to store and retrieve data to and from sepecified locations. If there was a generate smartobject option in K2 Designer it would act exactly the same as the "Create smartobject" option that is currently in the K2 Designer.
Create SmatObject Path
Right click on a category > Select New Smartobject (you can now create you new smartobject)
