k2 config: Unable to set ASPnet version 2.0.50727

Hi,

i installed k2 for sharepoint on my sharepoint server. the configuration utility is not able to finish its job and the log reveals an error (see end of post). I have 3 servers running windows server 2008. the first is sql server 2008, the second is moss with k2 for sharepoint und the third is the k2 blackpearl server. Until now i didnt finished the SPN/Kerberos setup but i think it has nothing to do with setting an asp.net version ?!

Can anyone help?

Error looks like authendication issue between MOSS and K2 server. I think you to enable Kerbross authendication on K2 server. For more details to fix this issue see the K2 documentation to enable Kerbross between K2 and MOSS.

Just for the record of this board:

 A coworker solved the issue somehow. He told me a short summary. There had been 2 issues with our servers. all machines were exact copies from one install which is not good at all and the other thing was about the distributed transaction controller (dtc?) not configured well enough.

I am sorry for the inaccurate description of the solution but I was doing a complete different project for the last weeks.

I have the same error but my environment is slightly different. I'm creating a virtual machine stand-alone server with win2008 EE, Sql 2008 EE, and K2 Blackpearl. During the configuration phase I retrieve the same error. I checked my dtc confguration and is ok (it's the same explained in setup guide)

Could you be more precise about your fix?

Hi Fabse


BlackPearl 807 does not currently support Windows Server 2008 ... The "Unable to set ASPnet version 2.0.50727: Index was out of range" error is due to the fact that server is running .Net Framework 3.5 whereas Pearl requires .Net 2.0
