Hi K2 Community,

I've been searching information in this forum about the Identity Cache functionallity, but i couldn't found anything that answered my doubts:

When is the Identity Cache refreshed? What component triggers it? In which situtations?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello,

Here is some documentation in regard to the legacy identity cache...

https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/K2blackpearl/ICG/current/default.htm#Configure/bp_IDCachePerfomance.htm

Basically the expireon is derivied from the cacheconfiguration table. When user is expired and they hit K2 then we go to provider to grab applicable data ie memberships etc.

You can give this a spin by grabbing the forceidentityrefresh tool which is built ontop of the usermanagement api and go through the excercise in regard to caching a user etc.

Please note in 5.3 the cache mechanism is different as it has been completely reworked.

Regards,

Matt
