Multilingualism in K2 Appit

Hello,

 

how would you implement multilingualism in K2 Appit Smartforms? The user's language is retrieved from SharePoint and depending on that language the form needs to be displayed in a certain language.

 

In K2 BlackPearl there was a custom control you could add to your form, but the custom controls functionality is not present in K2 Appit so I see no way apart from having duplicate labels/views and hiding/showing them depending on the language.

Insofar as I understand Appit does not support the capacity for custom controls. I think the method that you have postulated would be fine although the layout of the form when editing may look a bit cluttered. A different option you may want to explore would be to have a check box or radio button and have rules set up such that when a specific language is marked you then start running transfer data rules to populate the controls in accord witht he language chosen.
