Hi all,

Anyone know if it's possible to put a reason in the Offline Approval process?

Form is sent for approval

Approver gets k2 emails saying reply to email with "Approve" or "Decline".

How do you get them to Decline and then put a reason in?

Thanks

This should be possible through forms. See the links below.

If you want this done via SmartAction mail reply, i doubt that its possible from a reply via mail. Feel free to log this on the Ideas.k2.com site.

Hi,

I have another idea.

I have to keep the offline approval workflow, so if i make the only action APPROVE and include a DECLINE URL link in the client activity email that opens up another smartform where the Authoriser can enter the reasons for declining, would that work?

But that would mean that the Workflow is stuck in Limbo, so can i pass 2 paramaters to the DECLINE URL link form - 1) being the RequestID and 2) Worklist item via parameters

Then when the Authoriser fills in the reason and clicks submit, the existing workflow is closed or declined and i can use the RequestID for other stuff?

is this possible?

It sounds legit, I’m guessing the idea here is to ad that URL to the SmartActions Mail? If so the user will then in any case open a SmartForm. Why not make that url open the item like the link in the mail and then the user can chose the decline action which will action the WF and end it?
