Smartform view - Text area control line breaks

With a Text Area memo control on a smartform view, line breaks entered by the user seem to be correctly saved to the data source but when the form is reloaded, the line breaks are not shown, just a big long chunk of text.

Is there a setting for this?

I have reproduced what you are trying to do using a button to load the data back into the control without any issues. Please see the next 3 images for my “Load Button” rule configurations:

Can you try a simple item view instead of a list view?

Why is my form not behaving the same? What can I look at?

Hi VA1,

The actual text area control and buttons are on a form, the lisview is just there to display what it looks likes when it is saved. However I did do it on an ItemView as well and it worked without any issues. Perhaps post screen shots of all of your rules and their configurations.
