Hi,

So tried to response to a K2 ticket and can’t, as it redirects to Nintex.com, so the acquisition doesn’t appear to be that smooth.

What are you thoughts on Nintex buying K2, good or bad?

Will everything like account managers and products stay the same, or are things “evolving”?

I don’t really see how this will be a net positive for us.  We have some very robust Cloud forms and workflows and I don’t think its possible to convert these to a new platform without a lot of work.  And converting forms on a new platform that we have to learn also seems costly and ineffective.  Seems to me that the customer is the loser on this deal.

And they’ve been pretty vague on prices going forward, so I expect the price will increase.

So the question we are asking is if we have to learn something completely new, with no guarantee of what the costs will be, why should we not be looking at any and all other solutions?

I’ve expressed these concerns and no one has gotten back to me.  Not a great start.

Hi Sharpharp1,

The systems are still being worked on, if you need assistance with your ticket you will need to contact the engineer handling your ticket directly.

Kind Regards,
Kevin

Hi Habby

Here is another update that was shared with K2 customers that would hopefully provide more clarity:

Within this update, you will find additional information as we are making strong progress with our K2 and Nintex integration efforts which are all intended to deliver increased value for our customers like you.

Products:

  • K2 Five
    • K2 Five remains an important part of our process automation platform, ideal for customers in hybrid and on-premises environments and is in an active development cycle.
    • More details will be provided in an upcoming roadmap webinar the week of January 25, 2021. See below for more details on the webinar.
  • K2 blackpearl
    • K2 blackpearl’s product support timeframe has been extended an additional two years to the end of 2023 beyond the previously stated end of life (EOL) timeframe of 2021.
    • Our professional services team and partner community will continue to help our blackpearl customers move to K2 Five (v5.4) at a reasonable cost and through a rapid delivery process. Please let us know if we can help.
  • K2 Cloud
    • Over time K2 Cloud and Nintex Workflow Cloud will converge into one best-of-breed cloud automation platform. • The webinars will be delivered live and recorded so you can revisit the session.

K2.com Websites/Portals

  • As we were reviewing K2.com websites and portals we decided to bring them down and to accelerate our planned transition of these assets to Nintex.com based on our enterprise-grade architecture and security standards.
  • You will notice that when you go to K2.com you are presented with a pop-up window which sits on top of Nintex.com.
  • The window includes the most important resources that our K2 customers need access to such as Help, Support, Community, University, K2 Products, licensing, and much more.
  • We are focused on integrating K2 site content and key resources rapidly into Nintex.com to provide you and every customer and partner a great combined experience by mid-January 2021.
  • We appreciate your patience as we make this transition.

Programs:

  • K2 University
    • The newly combined K2 and Nintex University teams are working hard to bring the best of both worlds together into a unified experience.
    • The goal of the team is to fully integrate K2 and Nintex University by the beginning of February 2021. By the end of April, we will have a number of new persona/role-based trainings as well as new on demand and instructor-led remotely delivered classes.
  • K2 Community
    • Similarly, we are combining the K2 community with the Nintex Community with an aim to unify the experience and increase shared knowledge by early March 2021.
  • K2 Customer Portal
    • Also, by March 2021, we plan to have full integration completed for the customer portal experience.
    • In January 2021, K2 Customers will have the ability to access Nintex Customer Central (NCC) to submit and manage support tickets. As we continue to enable functionality through March, K2 customers will also be able to perform administrative functions such as access licensing, manage training subscriptions, see contracts, and much more.
    • Additionally, all active cases in the K2 portal will be migrated over and made available for customers to interact with through NCC once we go live.

I hope this communication provided you with clarity around our K2 product plans and integration work. Company integrations are complex, and often challenging, especially when two similarly sized companies come together. We are fortunate to have a team of committed and great people from K2 and Nintex who are dedicated to your ongoing success.
