K2 Workspace App - Android 9 (Mobile)

Hi,

 

Has anyone on the community been able to run the K2 Workspace app on an Android 9 mobile device?

 

Our K2 site is configured for HTTPS Binding only. However the app insists on opening Task Forms and Application Forms as HTTP (not sure where it is getting the Runtime URL from, as it's correct in K2 Management).

 

HTTP runtime url on our mobile devices is unacceptable. Android 9 by default blocks data transfer over HTTP.

 

I'm aware that there may be alternative mobile apps on the market (i.e. Indocs Business Apps). Has anyone used any alternative apps and had better luck?

Hi Conrad


 


I am not 100% sure on this, but I suspect the Runtime URL is obtained from one of the Environment Fields. Make sure the "SmartForms Runtime SSL" is set to default and is set to the correct HTTPS URL.


 


As you only make use of HTTPS, you can actually set all environment URLs to HTTPS. Easiest is to filter the environment fields with "HTTP" to see if anything is not set to HTTPS.
