Any suggestion as to the cause of the error.

Have you checked the HostServer logs that correspond to the time you got this error? Tthe HostServer logs may provide more information that may be helpful.
Another method I use to determine which item caused this error is to deploy your items one by one, or in batches. This can help you slowly narrow down where this error is coming from. If it is coming from a SmartObject, try testing that SmartObject in the SmartObjects Service Tester to see if it is working properly.
If it is coming from your View or Form, then it is likely a SmartObject used in a rule or your controls may be causing this.
